louisburg cider mill has the best apple cider around Kansas!

If you’re looking for the perfect fall cocktail that’s sweet, smoky, and bursting with warm apple cinnamon flavors, hit save for later! It’s guaranteed to keep you cozy this fall season!

Plus, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our favorite local Kansas ciders—Louisburg Cider Mill. Their rich and flavorful apple cider adds that perfect fall touch to this drink!

Step 1: Rim That Glass
Start by creating 50/50 cinnamon sugar + flaky sea salt rim on your glass. It might not seem necessary, but it’s salty, sweet and truly the perfect rim for this fall margarita. Plus, it’s pretty, and that really counts for something to us.

Step 2: Choose Your Mezcal
Find your favorite bottle of smoky mezcal. If Mezcal isn’t your jam, use your favorite blanco tequila. But the mezcal is what gives this margarita a bold, smoky twist.

Los Magos Salto Blanco Tequila is our top pick if you’re leaning into the smoke. But if smoky isn’t your thing, go with a classic blanco tequila like El Jimador. Both options pair wonderfully with the apple cider—so no wrong choice here!

Step 3: Shake it Up
Pour your apple cider, tequila (or mezcal), and any other ingredients you love into a shaker. Shake it all up, grab your salty, cinnamon sugar glass, add ice, and carefully pour your cocktail over.

Step 4: Garnish for Fall Vibes
We’re not finished without the final fall touches...slice up some thin apple wedges and add a cinnamon stick. If you want to get extra fancy, light the end of a cinnamon stick with a torch and swirl it for a smoky, campfire effect that will definitely impress.

This apple cider margarita will quickly become a fall favorite—especially with that local Kansas cider from Louisburg Cider Mill.

INGREDIENTS:
50/50 cinnamon sugar and flaky sea salt, for the rim
2 ounces los Magos or silver tequila
1/2 ounce orange liquor (like Grand Gala or Grand Marnier)
4 ounces (1/2 cup) apple cider
juice 1/2 a lime
1-2 teaspoons maple syrup use more or less to your taste
To go all out add 1/2 oz of St George’s Spiced Pear Liqueur
